Christina Milian is facing an unprecedented level of backlash on her Instagram. Seemingly, the 38-year-old pop star's followers haven't all warmed to her latest SavagexFenty promo.

If you don't live inside Christina's Instagram, the 'Dip It Low' singer has herself a likely-lucrative gig via her ambassador status with 32-year-old singer Rihanna's best-selling lingerie line. A photo landing on Christina's feed ahead of the weekend appears to have sparked a major storm – possibly a first for the 2000s pop face whose high-profile deal is proof of her popularity.

Scroll for the photo. It follows a string of SavagexFenty promos that have seen Christina in unzipped jeans or chopping vegetables in her undies – both 2020 promos have proven immensely popular amid the Netflix star's 6.3 million followers.

This snap upped the ante a little. Christina, who gave birth in January, was flaunting her stunning post-baby body in a hot pink, lacy, and matching lingerie set. She was seated on a floor with parted legs, photographed from below and looking at the camera.

Keep scrolling for the shot. A caption kept things simple, reading: 'Look 2 Brighter Daze 💘 @savagexfenty #savagexambassador.'

Christina's snap may have clocked over 225,000 likes, but a remark shooting up the comments section now sees the Beignet Box founder slammed:

'That’s not a flattering picture, nor a decent picture to be taken by a mother and a woman that is in a committed relationship.'

Christina is in a long-term relationship with partner and baby daddy Matt Pokora, also raising her 10-year-old daughter Violet shared with ex and rapper The Dream. More comments below.

A totally separate comment also gaining likes appeared to almost pity the beauty.

As fans called Christina 'inappropriate' and told her to change her positioning, though, some did come to the star's defense.

Should Be 'Celebrated'

Christina did receive back-up. A fan appearing to find an empowerment side to the image replied:

'We are givers.. we birth life.. we should be proud of what is between those legs. It should be worshiped not hidden!'

Christina does not appear to have responded to the backlash. SavagexFenty is also fronted by stars including rapper Megan Thee Stallion – the line's summer 2020 face – plus Draya Michele, Normani, Sydney Sweeney, Kash Doll, and Cardi B's sister Hennessy Carolina.

A fan, again, appearing saddened by the photo, simply replied: 'Why??! 😳'
