Here is iw compiled and tested on Lucid Puppy 5.2.8 Aircrack-ng-1.1.pet that Idownloaded from an above forum post and installed, needed iw.
I used the above aircrack-ng-1.1.pet and it was missing iw
airmon-ng uses iw to configure the mac80211 linux wireless stack to monitor wireless signals.
This wifite.py program automates cracking WEP.

Puppy also has the capability of installing deb, rpm and tgz/txz packages from Debian family, Red Hat family and Slackware family of Linux operating systems. The way Puppy is designed, if you use a frugal type install, software can be installed as an sfs (Squash File System) package. This time i will show you, how to install Aircrack-ng on CentOS 7. My CentOS 7 (CentOS Linux release 7.2.1511 x64) is a virtual maschine on VirtualBox (5.0).As wireless USB Adapter i use TP-Link TL-WN822N. CentOS 7 VM created and started. INSTALLING 'PUPPY LINUX' AS THE ONLY OPERATING SYSTEM OBJECTIVE AND DESIRED RESULT: Install 'Puppy Linux' as the only operating system in either a real computer or a virtual machine. BASIC ADVICE 'Puppy Linux' is a lean Linux distro that will run in ancient Intel-based and AMD-based computers with tiny amounts of RAM.

In this article we are going to install aircrack-ng tools on a fresh Raspbian installation for Raspberry Pi 4.
I use an old Dlink DWA -110 USB dongle as wifi network interface.
Prerequisites
I have a Raspberry Pi 4 with a freshly installed Raspbian Buster Lite (release date: 2019-09-26).
First, we need to update the package list and upgrade the system.
Puppy Linux
Then, we need to install some basics packages to compile aircrack-ng sources.
Download, compile and install from sources
Now, we have to download the latest version of aircrack-ng. Go to https://www.aircrack-ng.org/downloads.html and download it. For this article we deal with aircrack-ng-1.5.2.
Puppy Linux Install Hard Drive
Uncompress the .tar.gz archive.
Aircrack Ng Windows Install
Go into aircrack-ng installation folder.
Then, generate configuration with these two commands:
Install Aircrack On Puppy Linux Install Firefox
Compile !
Finaly, you can install aircrack-ng.
At this point aircrack-ng is ready to be used.
Test and conclusion
Aircrack Ng Linux
We can check our wirless interfaces with:
Then, pass your desired interface in monitored mode. Here we use wlan1:
Check with iwconfig if your wireless card is in monitored mode.
You can now run airodump:
